Separated at Death, 'Grindhouse' DVD Gets Split Up

The Weinstein Company and Genius Products have announced that the two films that made up the double bill feature "Grindhouse" will arrive on DVD as two separate, Extended and Unrated editions.

"Death Proof" director Quentin Tarantino's take on such peddle-to-the-metal shockers as "Vanishing Point" (1971) is coming to DVD in a 2-Disc Extended and Unrated Edition with over 30 minutes of additional, never-before-seen footage including the maddening "missing reel" (containing the excised lap dance sequence) as well as a black and white segment in the film's second act.
