Justin Timberlake mun leika eitt af aðalhlutverkum í FACEBOOK movie “The Social Network”.

It looks like singer Justin Timberlake won’t be returning to music any time soon, with Variety confirming that the Sexyback star has scored one of the lead roles in the Facebook movie “The Social Network”.

Jesse Eisenberg will play Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, whilst Timberlake will play Sean Parker, the Napster co-founder who became Facebook’s founding president. Andrew Garfield will play Eduardo Saverin, the Facebook co-founder who fell out with Zuckerberg as the social network became a financial juggernaut.

The film focuses on the evolution of Facebook, the social network created in 2004 on the Harvard campus, and how overnight success and wealth changes the lives of the classmates who created it.

Oscar winner Kevin Spacey will executive-produce, and David Fincher will direct. Previous films Fincher has directed include Zodiac, Fight Club, Seven, and Panic Room.

The script has been penned by Aaron Sorkin, who’s previous credits include The West Wing, as well as c0-writes for Schindlers List & Bulworth.
