Hress žessi snįkamašur

What goes in must come out, so the saying goes. That's exactly what happened when an Indian man tried to enter the Guinness Book of World Records by feeding two live grass snake into his nostrils and taking them out through his mouth.

C Manoharan,25, who is better known as Snake Manu, says he is particularly partial to baby cobras.

It's not the first time he's performed stomach-churning stunts like this. Last November, Manu claimed a place in the Guinness Book of Records in the 'most eaten worms in 30 seconds' category after he managed to swallow 200 wriggling earthworms each measuring at least 10cm.

He claims to have experimented with almost all varieties of snakes, including cobras, common kraits, sand boas and rat snakes.

He says his favourite is the cobra because of its ferocious agility.

Manu, a high school drop-out, said that as an eight-year-old he would amuse his classmates by inserting chalk and erasers into his nostrils and pulling them out through his mouth.

When he turned 18 he started sniffing around snakes and his first attempt was with a half dead water snake.
