An LAPD spokesman said this: "After stopping his car, Brown and the woman (Rihanna) got out and the argument escalated. The woman suffered visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker."

Rihanna was supposed to perform Disturbia at the Grammys but cancelled two hours before the show.
