Helen Mirren GQ Magazine October 2008 Date Rape Cocaine Confessions

Oscar winning-dame Helen Mirren confesses to life filled with date rape and drug use in the October 2008 issue of GQ Magazine, on newsstands on Thursday.

“I loved coke. I never did a lot, just a bit at parties,” Helen is quoted in the new edition of the men’s style mag.

Helen says she gave up on the “white medicine” after reading about Nazi war criminal Klaus Barbie making money from cocaine in South America, “all the cards fell into place and I saw how my little sniff of cocaine at a party had an absolute direct route.”

“I was [date-raped], yes. A couple of times,” the British actress explained. “Not with excessive violence, or being hit, but rather being locked in a room and made to have sex against my will.”

“I don’t think she can have that man into court under those circumstances,” she then added. “I guess it is one of the many subtle parts of the men/women relationship that has to be negotiated and worked out between them.”
