DARK KNIGHT IMAX vændræði í NYC

As you may know, it's been a major headache trying to get tickets to The Dark Knight at New York City's only IMAX theater at AMC Loews Lincoln Square. The Fandango website only sells advance tickets in seven day blocks, which have been flying faster then free Bon Jovi tickets. And even when the next block of tickets go on sale, the options for most working stiffs are limited to a single screening per day at 8:45 p.m., with the other closest show times at 12:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. If it's killing you that you haven't yet had The Dark Knight: The IMAX Experience yet, there is some information that might interest you after the jump.

Every look at Spencer Taylor, a 20-year-old guy from Michigan who was arrested and charged with larceny and malicious destruction of property after trying to steal Dark Knight posters from his local theater while in full Joker garb.

For some reason that we can’t quite pinpoint, the police took his mugshot both with and without his Joker make-up.

That’s not even relevant to the film! The real Joker wouldn’t want for posters.

So, yeah, everyone laugh at Spencer.

Opnun myndarinnar á Íslandi er sú stærsta fyrr eða síðar í krónum talið en tæplega 25.000 manns hafa séð myndina frá því að hún var frumsýnd þann 23. júlí. Þetta jafngildir því að 8% þjóðarinnar hafi ákveðið að fara í bíó þrátt fyrir að heitasti dagur sumarsins hafi verið hinn 25. júlí sl. The Dark Knight hefur auk þess slegið öll forsölumet á Íslandi en jafnmargir miðar hafa ekki selst á nokkra kvikmynd hér á landi í gegnum vefsíðuna midi.is.Það sem gerir þetta met enn merkilegra er að þetta er fyrsta kvikmyndin á Íslandi sem nær þeim merka áfanga að vera aðsóknarmesta mynd ársins sem ekki er frumsýnd í kringum jól eða aðrar hátíðir.
