Tom Cruise is on a secret Mission to recruit David and Victoria to Scientology, according to Tom Cruise: An Unauthorized Biography, a new tell-all from author Andrew Morton. The book also compares Tom’s one-year-old daughter with wife Katie Holmes, Suri, to the Devil’s child in Rosemary’s Baby. Lawyers for the actor have denied all the accusations and are said to be considering a $100million lawsuit.

Tom’s lawyer Bert Fields slammed the “sick and bizarre” claims and branded the book “a pack of lies”.

“Naturally he knows there are a bunch of lies about him. You can imagine what it must be like to have someone compare your baby girl to Rosemary’s Baby. Morton should be ashamed of himself.

“It’s a boring, poorly researched book by a man who has never talked to anyone involved in Tom Cruise’s life or close to him.”

The book also claims some Scientology extremists – known as the Sea Org – think Katie was impregnated with frozen sperm from the church’s dead founder L. Ron Hubbard.

Tom Cruise is so angry over the impending January 2008 publication of Tom Cruise: The Unauthorized Biography that he has enlisted the help of fellow Scientologists in threatening the book’s biographer, Andrew Morton.

“I have received threats from the Scientologist’s and things have become pretty heavy - to the extent that it’s almost more than my lawyers can handle,” Andrew told the Sunday Express.

“I’ve sold my flat and I’m not telling anyone where I’m moving to. I intend to disappear for a while.”

Gotcha! So this is the reason that Dr. Phil has decided to forego plans for an hour long special about Britney Spears. Life & Style is reporting that Dr. Phil canned plans to expose Britney Spears‘ very meltdown during a special tomorrow afternoon because the Spears family cancelled plans to appear on the show.

Life & Style Mag reports:

Britney Spears’ dad Jamie Spears has angrily banned the family from any involvement or participation with Dr. Phil’s planned Britney-intervention episode, a source linked to Dr. Phil’s camp tells Life & Style.

“As soon as Jamie realized Dr. Phil was making public statements about Britney, including assessments of her condition, he got angry. He started making phone calls to everybody in the family, telling them not to cooperate with Dr. Phil.

“Jamie was totally incensed that Dr. Phil—who he knows a little, because Lynne is friends with Dr. Phil’s wife—seemed to be using Britney for self-promotion.

“Dr. Phil had told Jamie everything would be off the record until the show was done.

“But after Jamie made his phone calls, Lynne and Bryan [their son] agreed not to appear on Dr. Phil’s show.”

Kvikmyndatímaritið Variety kynnti  Mathieu Amalric, sem lék í kvikmyndinni The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, en hann mun í þessari leika illmennið sem ætlar sér að reyna að drepa Bond.

Bond 22 er með frumsýningardagsetninguna 7 November 2008 og er leikstýrð af  Marc Forster (The Kite Runner, Finding Neverland).

Enn um Golden Globe verðlaunin

Eins og þeir sem ensku kunna geta séð hér fyrir neðan þá verður afhendingin ekki sýnd heldur einungis kynntir sigurvegarnir þetta ku vera síðasta ákvörðun þeirra NBC manna sem héldu að leikarar og handritahöfyndar myndu gefa þeim leyfi eða smá break en EKKI varð sú raunin.

MONDAY NOON: ! I've just obtained the unofficial NBC schedule for the Golden Globes on January 13th now that the big full frills show has been cancelled because of the Writers Guild picket lines. Instead, NBC and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and Dick Clark Productions are attempting to circumvent the strike by stringing together a series of  "news" telecasts that should allow them to use up the block of airtime already allotted for the show and sold to advertisers:

"There will be a press conference this afternoon announcing that the Globes Awards ceremony will not go on. Here is the plan:
-- At 9 PM there will be a press conference covered by NBC News announcing the Golden Globe winners. (9pm-10pm)
-- At 8 PM, we are negotiating with Dick Clark Enterprises for a one-hour retrospective/clip show.
-- At 7 PM, we will air a Dateline with clips and interviews with nominees. (Currently scheduled to air for two hours on Saturday night.)
-- At 10 PM, we will broadcast an "Access Hollywood" style, Golden Globes party show...visiting the various parties in Hollywood

The WGA Strike is shutting down Hollywood. The 2008 Golden Globes is the latest of the dispute’s casualities. There will be no Golden Globe this year. Winners will simply be announced-and that won’t even be televised. Sucks for the nominees.
